I came to acupuncture over 20 years ago as a professional dancer when a back injury sent me into a downward spiral of constant pain. I spend several years trying different forms of therapy, with only limited success that would alleviate my pain for a few days. A friend of mine, who was also a dancer suggested that I try acupuncture and I decided that I would give it a try since I had tried everything else. I walked into the treatment unable to move my upper back and arms and I walked out with full range of motion. I could not believe the feeling I had. For the first time in two years I had pain free full range of motion. My acupuncturist recommended Pilates to strength my alignment and stabilizes my back. It was the combination of both acupuncture and Pilates that allowed me to function in the world again. Over the years I have been fortune enough to be exposed to so many forms of healing. All of which have played a role in my recovery. It is with the knowledge and experiences that I am able to approach each person with a great deal of compassion and dedication.
I look forward to assisting my patients on their journey towards living healthier and fuller lives.
Thanks,
Leah
